We are Outstanding! Affinity Supporting People rated ‘Outstanding’ by CQC

Affinity Supporting People, our Lancashire based care service, have received an ‘Outstanding’ rating in their latest CQC inspection.

The report was extremely positive and highlighted the excellent person-centred approach to care provided and how they saw excellent examples of where partnership working, which allowed the individual to be supported in making choice and control of their lives with the least of restrictions.

A special mention was made to our Affinity Supporting People was well led by a committed and skilled management team, who led by example and were well trained and supported.

Leah Whelan, Registered Manager for Affinity Supporting People, has played a major part in leading the service throughout her time as manager, and has was delighted with the rating;

“Being rated Outstanding by CQC really reflects the fantastic person-centred support that we provide at Affinity Supporting People.

Our management and staff teams are dedicated to the people they support and continually go above and beyond to ensure that people are able to achieve their dreams.”

What makes this achievement even more special is how Affinity Supporting People join an elite club of care providers who have an ‘Outstanding’ rating, with only 7% in the North West and 9% across England.

It truly is a clear indication of how the dedication and commitment shown towards care and supporting people to live rewarding lives is part of the ethos of Affinity and National Care Group.

It also shows how difficult it is to receive an ‘Outstanding’ rating, and such an achievement is something we are extremely proud of and one that will inspire us to continue to provide the highest quality of care expected from us.

Marie Hilton, North West Regional Operations Manager, was proud to be part of the service’s incredible achievement;

“I am absolutely delighted Affinity Supporting People have achieved an Outstanding CQC rating.

The Affinity team regularly go ‘above and beyond’ to deliver the best possible outcomes to the people they support within the Lancashire region.

I am extremely proud of each one of our Managers, Team Leaders and Support Staff, they thoroughly deserve this accolade which we will be celebrating in true Affinity style.”

Staff were praised for how they developed a good relationship with the people they support and with their families, making it a truly collaborative approach to care where ideas can be shared and taken on.
