Our aim is to support people with mental health needs to achieve their potential and live as independently as possible within their communities. We support individuals with a wide range of long-term mental health needs, including dual diagnosis, severe affective disorders, co-morbid physical health conditions, physical and/or verbally aggressive behaviour, and self-injurious behaviour. Our specialist mental health services can be found within our residential, supported living and outreach care packages.
Our skilled and dedicated teams support people who experience substantial impairments to their day-to-day living as a result of their mental health condition. We also support individuals who have experienced a relapse. NCG encourages all individuals to engage in meaningful activities on a daily basis. We support our clients to manage daily activities more independently, get involved in community activities, develop hobbies, maintain friendships and find employment and/or education opportunities. Our services are authorised to deliver all aspects of personal care and medication administration if required.
NCG assess need and potential risk to help formulate accurate and effective care plans that meet the needs of the individual and manage any risk in both a proactive and positive manner. We promote recovery-focused interventions and encourage the people we support to monitor their recovery progress, take control of their lives and work towards positive outcomes. These outcomes are a vital step in the recovery process and often help to increase social and emotional wellbeing. At NCG, we work hard to earn the trust of the people we support and strive to help them understand their condition, achieve their aspirations, and establish control over their lives.
